Bienvenidos back! Unfortunately, I'm in Utah for the foreseeable future, so it might be a little difficult to go to shows. I did actually just see Brand New & ManOrch together (I love ManOrch's last album too - definitely check it out).
Please update your blog w/ your music recs so I can steal your taste as my own and appear ahead of the curve. FYI, things you've missed you should check out (if you haven't already): Metric's new album and new Two Door (sadly not as good as the debut), Feel like you'd like Cults, Youth Lagoon, The Naked & Famous and Alabama Shakes as well.
Utah?! Are you trying to kill yourself (slowly. A slow death is torture)?! What are you doing there?
Thanks for the music recommendations! I need more :D I haven't heard of ManOrch, Youth Lagoon or Alabama Shakes. I like that last band's name though. Excited! So I've been really bad with updating my blog because life has been way too insane since I got back but I'll definitely be doing that soon.
For now, check out: Milo Greene- 1957, Walk the Moon, Imagine Dragons (even though I'm definitely sure you've heard of them), Young the Giant, Dr. Dog (they have a lot of stuff but Shadow People is great, 60s feel. Not sure if you're into that but just maybe), Haim, Founds, and I'll keep you posted. :)
p.s. Just kidding about killing yourself. Utah is great!
I do love "Anna Sun" by Walk the Moon and know some Imagine Dragons (unfortunately, they've replaced Neon Trees as the band Mormons latch onto). Definitely check out the others - even though I've been actively following music, somehow you know artists I have never heard of despite being gone. Humbling.
Bwuahaha! Ohhh Nick! You haven't changed one bit.
ReplyDeleteI mean, hello! How's life? I'm back from Panama. How are you? Let's hang out and go to shows :)
